Passion for African Wildlife

With a keen interest and passion for African wildlife and an urge to preserve the wildlife numbers for generations to come, Yvonne Khumalo & Nkateko Mathebula started out their childhood dream to get involved in conservation.

With limited resources and “know how” they took the time to learn from conservationists and subject matter experts and individuals within the conservation fraternity, it is here where the passion for rare game breeding ignited.

With the assistance of current breeders and conservationists, Yvonne and Kathego slowly but surely gained more confidence and experience and have set up breeding locations in the North West & Limpopo provinces and thus have debatably become the first African woman to enter the rare game breeding playground.

Yvonne who is still studying business management understands that it is impossible to manage an investment without commitment and passion – 100% of the time – all the time.

But to achieve this, a dedicated support team is undeniably important and probably one of the most important factors of a breeding program, second only to the wellbeing of its animals. The advice of other successful breeders, experienced veterinary scientists and business partners/mentors will thus always be deeply valued.

Yvonne & Kathego are positive examples of what hard work and dedication can achieve.
